Vaidehi is an engineering leader, writer, and keynote speaker with over a decade of experience in software engineering. She has led software teams as both an engineering manager and a senior individual contributor, and has a track record of architecting complex systems, building high-performing teams, and making technical ideas accessible at scale.

Vaidehi previously created BaseCS and BaseDS — two companion series focused on computer science and distributed systems fundamentals — along with the BaseCS video series (season 1 & season 2) and the Byte Sized video series on YouTube. She also co-hosted the Base.cs Podcast for 9 seasons, reaching over 1.5 million downloads globally.

Vaidehi has spoken at conferences around the world — including RailsConf, EmberConf, and LeadDev — delivering both keynotes and technical talks.

These days, she writes about engineering leadership for LeadDev and spends most of her free time trying to keep up with her spunky toddler.
